Property Description
Is a weekend getaway to a lakefront on your bucket list? Stay here, and you can check it off. Vacation chalets don’t get better than this. Lakefront Cassillo comes with cathedral ceilings, a private setting, a sandy beach, a hot tub, a sauna, a private setting, a cozy wood chateau, and canoes.
We provide all equipment you need for cooking/baking, some spices, salt and pepper and cleaning supplies such as paper towel, toilet paper, kitchen and hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soap, hand soap, and propane for the BBQ.
Your comfort is our priority, we provide comforters and pillows. Sheets and bath towels must be brought, or we can order this for $25/bed (Flat/fitted/pillowcase/bath towel) through our supplier. We provide one bag of wood for your stay. It will be $15/bag if you would like additional bags.
The area
This location is located in Minden/Algonquin. It is a nature enthusiast paradise. With hiking trails at every turn, and ATV trails throughout the area. There is a small supermarket about 15 minutes away and larger ones 30 minutes away.
Things To Know
Our hot tub can sometimes look a little green due to the Iron in the well water. It is fully cleaned between guests, but the Iron can change the water from clear to green as it reacts to the other chemicals used. This can be a tad off-putting, but you can be sure the hot tub is cleaned and balanced between guests. If this happens, let us know, and we can direct you to a chemical in storage that we use that temporarily helps keep it clear.
This cottage does NOT have central AC. We have a split unit above the main floor stairs and a window unit in the games room. These help to keep the areas cool, but there is no AC in the bedrooms. We do have ceiling fans and a good breeze.
None of our guests have ever said the bedrooms were to hot.

You must be 25 years old to book, and most of your group needs to be over 25.

We allow up to 2 dogs with prior permission. A pet fee applies to each dog. No Cats or other animals are allowed.

If there will be more people than the original booking, you must let us know, and there is an extra guest fee of $50 per person per night.

Zero tolerance for excessive partying (we do not accept bachelor/bachelorette parties). Noise by law starts at 10:30 pm. Outdoor activities should be brought inside.

No fireworks allowed. A fine of $500 will be applied if caught lighting fireworks.

We have zero tolerance for smoking of any kind in our cottage. If caught, there will be a fine of $500

For weekday bookings of groups of 4 people or less, complimentary linen service is included upon request.

GETTING TO LAKEFRONT CASILLO
Hilltop chill is located about 2.5 hours from the GTA. We are about 15 minutes to Blue Mountain Ski Hill and 20 minutes to Scandinavia Spa Blue Mountain. We are 5 minutes from Georgian Bay beach, and 5 minutes to grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. Google maps will take you directly to the location.
Check-in & Check-out
Check in is available at 4:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am. Early or late check-ins may be possible, but cannot be guaranteed. Please check with us.
